How our consulting process works
Every project is different, but there are a few things to consider when we start working together.
Phase 1: Kick-off
Getting to know each other, analysing the situation, getting clear about challenges, desired outcomes and how to move forward. This phase is designed to create a common understanding of your situation and goals, so that we can develop solutions that really fit your company. We are not offering off-the-shelf solutions, but find custom-made answers.
To you, as the client needing a solution, this may look as if nothing happens, but for us, this is a crucial period. The better we all manage to come together at the start, the less likely it is that we have to reconsider goals, methods or resources later during the project.
Phase 2: Analysis
We may ask your permission to talk to a lot of people, from staff to clients, from managers to suppliers. Which shareholder to include is depending on the problem we’re trying to solve. The aim of this period is to gather as much relevant data as possible to fully understand what led you and your company to this situation. In doing so we develop an understanding of possible ways forward.
Phase 3: Recommendations
We develop recommendations to solve your problem or move your company forward. A consulting project may end after we presented our recommendations, or it may move forward to implementation. Sometimes clients need some time to consider the proposed solutions before making a decision. It’s always your call, which way to go. We can only advise you from our experience and analysis, and help you with decision making, but we cannot take the responsibility from your shoulders.
Phase 4: Implementation
After you decided on a solution to implement, we help you with the change process. Sometimes, other experts have to be brought in. We help you with identifying and briefing them so that the work is done smoothly. As with the other phases, the details vary depending on the topic at hand.
Phase 5: Controlling & wrap up
Before we leave, we want to make sure that our work has helped you achieve your goals. We recommend to always put controlling measures in place, and to follow up on them. If you want to, we can agree on a check-up in a few months to see whether plans worked out or need updating. We had a lot of fun working with you, and we hope, you did, too. Thank you for trusting us, and all success for you!
